Issama Company is owned and operated by Steven Shade an Alaskan Native who was born and raised in Dillingham, Alaska. Steven learned to build traditional shoulder caskets over 20 years ago from one of the elders, who wanted to make sure that the skills necessary for the building of these beautiful caskets was passed on to the younger generation.
Steven also builds replica Bristol Bay fishing boats and seiners. The first replica boat he built was for an urn and since then other fishermen have ordered replicas of their fishing boats to have in their homes for decoration.
Steven also builds beautiful eight sided wooden urns in various heights and colors and will make specialty urns to order based on your wishes and designs.
